1. Mustard and honey sauce
This is a classic sauce! Its main use is to accompany raw salads, but it can also be used to bring more flavor to a grilled chicken, for example.
Ingredients
3 tablespoons of olive oil;
2 tablespoons of mustard;
1 tablespoon of honey.
Preparation mode
To prepare this sauce, just mix all the ingredients in a container until you get a homogeneous consistency.
2. Ginger and honey sauce
If you are looking for a sauce to add a special touch to a slice of meat, this one may be just what you need. The combination of the strong flavor of ginger and the sweetness of honey turns any dish into an unparalleled delicacy!
Ingredients
7 tablespoons of honey;
2 tablespoons of butter;
1 tablespoon of grated ginger;
Peel zest and juice of 1/2 lemon;
1/4 teaspoon of powdered ginger.
Preparation mode
Put all the ingredients in a small saucepan and mix well.
Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is smooth and liquid.
Serve hot or cold.
3. Lemon sauce with honey
Like the mustard and honey sauce, this is perfect for salads. So, consider using it to give your leaves a special flavor. For sure, the experience will be even more pleasurable.
Ingredients
1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice;
1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil;
1 teaspoon of cold-pressed linseed oil;
1 tablespoon of honey.
Preparation mode
Mix the lemon with olive oil and linseed oil. Add the honey and mix until it completely dissolves in the sauce. (If you want a sweeter sauce, add more honey).
4. Spicy honey sauce
This sauce became famous for being used in a New York pizzeria and soon its recipe spread around the world. Originally, habanera peppers are used. However, below we teach you how you can prepare it with black peppers, much easier to find in Brazil.
Ingredients
150 g of honey;
2 black peppers;
1 teaspoon pepperoni pepper or other dehydrated pepper.
Preparation mode
Wash the peppers and remove the seeds, if you want to reduce their burning a little. Chop and add in a pan together with the honey and pepperoni.
Bring the pan to medium heat and let it boil for about 5 minutes, stirring from time to time, for the peppers to release their flavor and burning in the honey.
Turn off the heat and let it cool to room temperature. Then pass the honey through a fine-mesh sieve, in order to filter all the pieces of pepper. Put it in a pot and then use it or reserve it in the fridge to use whenever you want!
